Protecting your hands is vital to your wellbeing and ability to do your job. Your brain does tell your hands what to do, UNLESS you've sustained an injury that prevents the use of your hands such as a repetitive stress injury, amputation, cut or torn ligament, or nerve damage.  Avoid these injuries by: 

• Observing the safety tips in this video 
• Observing the safety rules in pur AIPP and WISHA
• Eat a healthy diet 
• Keep your blood sugar levels in a healthy range (even pre-diabetes and the medicine to treat it--metformin--can lead to peripheral, small fiber nerve damage) 
• Get enough but not too many vitamins and minerals. 
• Google any medicines you may be taking for neurotoxicity. Even OTC heartburn meds can inhibit some vitamins such as B12 which are imperative to healthy nerves. 
• Do not drink energy drinks in excess (there is literally a daily limit printed on some cans) because most have a lot of B vitamins and B6 can build up in your system and is a neurotoxin at high levels.

Norovirus

Also note that norovirus can be killed with a 1:10 ratio of bleach to water and contaminated surfaces should be disinfected with that solution if at all possible.

How to wash your hands to avoid bacteria, viruses, etc: https://youtu.be/HXTdKn2nUGc?si=W5stsciZA3CsitmK  --is pretty good video but I would advocate scrubbing for 30 seconds, scrubbing wrists also and cleaning fingernails by scrubbing them in a circular fashion on the opposite palm of each hand for five seconds.  Rinse one hand at a time, from wrist down and do not shake water off hands.  Next, let the water run while you COMPLETELY DRY your hands with paper towels, throw those towels away, (if they are wet when you touch the faucet or door, virus or bacteria can get through them). Take a clean, dry towel to turn off the faucet and open the door.  Do not touch anything in the bathroom after you've washed your hands.
