This just happened to a fellow subcontractor who was supposed to come do some work on our shop this
weekend. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to make it for 6-8 + weeks. He was lucky. I also knew a guy (RIP) who
became a paraplegic for the rest of his short life after his ladder accident. // Esto le acaba de pasar a un
compañero subcontratista que debía venir a hacer unos trabajos en nuestro taller este fin de semana.
Desafortunadamente, no podrá venir hasta dentro de 6 a 8 semanas. Tuvo suerte. También conocí a un
hombre (QEPD) que quedó parapléjico para el resto de su corta vida tras su accidente con la escalera.

I only heard part of the conversation and Dustin wouldn’t let me interview him, but from what I gathered, he
was on either an extension ladder or a straight ladder and over-reached. I don’t know if he’d observed the
golden ratio (for every 4 ft up, the bottom of the ladder should be set back 1 foot) or if the stops were set
properly, but the following video sums up my suspicions at 1:27. // Solo escuché parte de la conversación y

demasiado. No sé si había respetado la proporción áurea (por cada 1,2 m de altura, la base de la escalera debe
